Lives Through Frinds – Personal Support Worker

In this role you will work alongside an individual who has Autism and lives in his own home in Camberley. Duties will include working alongside the individual helping with daily living tasks and social opportunities. The role will involve gaining a thorough understanding of the person being supported, the way they communicate and the stresses and anxieties that can have a significant impact on how well they relate to the everyday world. It is therefore imperative that the appointed person is able, over time, to grasp a good understanding of Autism, is able to follow clear guidelines, be able to use their initiative to deal with issues as they arise and have a thick skin when the going gets tough. Hourly rate: £12-£15 per hour. The post-holders will be expected to work some weekends and have a degree of flexibility, working closely with other support staff and family members.
