World Book Day is right around the corner, and we’ve scoured the shelves of Waterstone’s to find you just a few choices to get you ready for Thursday 2nd March.

Whether you or your children are a fan of the classics, or looking to try something new – we’ve got you covered!

Spaceboy – David Walliams

Fans of Walliams will love this out-of-this-world novel, following the story of a young girl who spots a spaceship in trouble. Follow an adventure beyond your wildest dreams, and don’t expect to put it down easily!

One Of Us Is Lying – Karen M. McManus

Perfect for the older teenager (and adults who love an exciting easy-read!), this novel follows a murder mystery style plotline that you’ll never see coming. The even better news? You’ll also love the sequel!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar – Eric Carle

This very hungry caterpillar has a habit of eating everything in his sight (something that we can sometimes relate to!). This children’s classic belongs in every mini library, and will give some fantastic inspo for the perfect World Book Day costume too!

Heartstopper Volume 1 – Alice Oseman

You may have seen this graphic novel series adapted as a brand new Netflix show! See how it all began with this tale of boy-meets-boy, complete with beautiful illustrations and a story full of heart.

Matilda – Roald Dahl

If your little ones are loving the new musical adaptation of Matilda, why not introduce them to the book that started it all. This modern classic tells the tale of an extraordinary girl, a terrible Headmistress, and a humongous chocolate cake!
